Prioritization Soup
I have recently been ministering the "Priorities Scale" speech alot. When someone is not doing well, spiritually or physically, as a counselor I ask what have been the top ten things in your life recently. I am not talking about what is it that would sound wonderful and would make me happy to hear. I need to know what has been your priorities in the last week or two. In most of the cases, the most important spot, numero uno, is mixed up somewhere in the Prioritization Soup of your life. The almighty God has lost his spot in the very top, where he belongs. Once you loose site of the first spot, it is amazing how the rest of it becomes a soup with all kinds of stuff. It is like a math problem... you mess up on the first part of the equation and it just will not work out, no matter how hard you try. How do you know what is number one on your scale? When you wake up on a day off, at a comfortable time, on a day which purposefully has been reserved for rest... what is the first thing which comes to your mind? That will determine numero uno. If it is the girlfriend or the last level you played in your video Game or the plans you have later on that evening or how are you going to get through your most current situation, that is your number one. If it stands in your mind, then it finds it's way into your heart and it stays sealed there. As your mind continues to awaken you might be surprised as to how God, did not even make it into the top ten. So, what are your priorities and in what order is your scale in today? Did you start off wrong this morning and realized it and adjusted your priorities? Or is God a piece of celery in your soup. Lets hear your voice.
